Amazing Truths

Wisdom for the Day

Wisdom is a principal thing, wisdom preserves, wisdom prospers the one having it. It is the ability to make the best decision in any given situation – the ability to know and go for what is important in life.

We`are living in trying times. Times of economic downturns, environmental degradation, wars and moral degradaton. Man’s greed is ever increasing and has now reached alarming levels. The signs of the end recorded in the Bible are constantly before us to see. Yes, in times like these, more wisdom is needed.

So, how can we obtain wisdom? The book of James leads us to the source of true wisdom: “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth librally, and upbraideth not; and it [wisdom] shall be given him.” (James 1:5).Wisdom is available, God will not withold it from the one who asks. There is, however, one requirement or condition – faith. In verses 6 and 7 of the same chapter, the counsel continues: “But let him ask in faith, without doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything from the Lord.” “For without faith,” Hebrews 11:6 says, “it is imposible to please Him; for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

Friends, God is ready to grant us wisdom and eternal life. But the question is, are we going to belive in Him? Have a blessed day as you seek to do all things wisely.
