Amazing Truths

And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8:32

What are your fears today?

There are a lot of things happening in the world today, that can instill fear in the hearts of many. The current global economic situation is just one of them.

So, what are your fears today? The good news is that there is God in heaven who is willing and mighty to save. In Psalm 34:4, the psalmist says: “I sought the LORD, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.”

There are two things that should give you and me comfort in times of trouble: number one,
God hears and answers prayers, He is a living God. He once said to Moses: “I have surely seen the affliction of my people in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows; And I am come down to deliver them…” (Exodus 3:7, 8). In verse 6 of Psalm 34, the psalmist, referring to himself, continues : “This poor man cried and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles .” Number two, God delivers – He saves. He is interested in the happenings here on earth and better still, in your life as an individual. I also know this because He has delivered me many times.

So, regardless of your fears today, the LORD is ready to save. “He’s as close as the mention of his name,” one song writer said. Do not allow your fears and feelings of guilt to bring you down. Identify your fears today and take them to the LORD in prayer. Human beigns can only help to an extent but God can deliver completely and give you peace, even inner peace, theat suppasses understanding. If you don’t know how to pray, find someone who can lead you. Prayer is simply talking to God.

Have a blessed day and may the LORD deliver you from all your fears.
